Happy New Year - Treats on US - New Server on its Way

Hello Everyone,
A1 Web Hosting Solutions would to wish you all a Happy New Year (kind of early ) and would like to announce that we have purchased a brand new server with blazing fast hardware to optimize site loading times and user experience, plus it's time to put to rest our existing server which has served us well for past 2 years and had an impeccable record of 1 year of no downtime/shutdown and helped us achive 99.9% of Uptime over the last 2 years as can be seen by 3rd party monitoring services here.

We are switching our provider as well, for we did like to host with one that will be able to provide "proactive monitoring" on the server, in-house hence increasing the reliablity. We have searched for reviews on the new provider and they have lots of praise for their services by their clients.

Basic details for the new server, for those tech savvy clients :
CPU : i7 920 (2.66 Ghz Quad core , double the cores on existing servers)
RAM : 12 GB (That is right 6 times that inside our existing server)
HDD Config :
Primary Disk:500GB 7.2k RPM SATAII 16MB Cache
Backup Drive: 500GB 7.2k RPM SATAII 16MB Cache
That is 2 times the disk space we currently have.

If anyone wishes to know any other details please open a ticket or post here, will be glad to share more information.

Server is not online yet only order has been submitted and it should take about a day or 2 for it to be online/setup. Will start the migrating process asap.

There might be some sluggishness with websites loading, but will try to arrange for transfers late at night Central Time to keep inconvenience to end users to bare minimum.

Will be providing more details as and when we are ready to deploy the server. We are hoping it will be all setup by 31 December if not on January 1,2010 (our new provider will be around to help us out and offer 24/7 round the year services, no holidays for them and us too )

Please try to make backups of your sites, specially databases though, cause data transfers can sometimes get ugly. We urge everyone to keep backups of all their sites at all times.

This would be our biggest move and 2nd move only to a new provider/server and are very excited about the same. Expect to see new prices/discounts to become available in 2010 for both existing and new customers. We have been hosting since 2005 and want to continue the tradition on bigger and better server(s). Our proxy hosting server however does not need an upgrade for now. We are thinking of getting a new server for our Proxy Hosting too soon.

Hi,
Seems like things have finally started to settle down and hoping your sites and other services are working at its peak performance. We have had some email support tickets, so I would like to point out that please make sure you login to your cpanel and go to Email Management > Add/Remove accounts and from the dropdown choose configure email client for your respective email address and look for the outgoing,incoming and smtp settings. Only change that has happened is instead of webhosting1.a1whs.com now it is webhosting2.a1whs.com, rest remains the same.

If you have any problems connecting to email server or grabbing emails give us a shout will help you till you are all setup and emails working.

Few changes to nameserver and shared ip.

Our new shared ip has changed from 72.9.156.122 to 96.30.33.172

And our ip's and nameserver configurations are as under :

96.30.33.172 ns1.a1whs.com
96.30.33.173 ns2.a1whs.com
